On 22th December 2018, we took train and went to Guilin for travel.

As we know, Guilin is a tourist city in China. It is famous for its beautiful mountains and rivers. There is a well-know saying for Guilin-”The landscape in Guilin is the best under heaven”. We arrived expectantly and enjoyed several days in Guilin. Before we arrived Guilin, weather forecast showed would rainy. However, when we got off the train, the weather smile on us.

The first stop is Elephant Trunk Hill, which really looks like an elephant drinking from the. The Elephant Trunk Hill is the most representative scenic spot in Guilin.

The second stop is Princess Jingjiang Residence. There are the most well-preserved walls of Ming dynasty in here. Following the guide, we visited Confucian temple. Also we experienced the imperial examination and ancient rubbings. The guide shared a lot of past things about Princess Jingjiang Residene and made a simple analysis of the lettering on the wall. Through his explanation, we learned more about the ancient metaphysics, buddhism and fengshui.

Walking away from Princess Jingjiang Residence, we arrived at Liusanjie Park. We listened to some folk songs from local people. Also we knew the love story about Liusanjie and Aniu.

The second day, we took cruise ship to visit Yangshuo section, the essence part of the Lijiang river, which lasted 4 hours. Lijiang River is one of Chinese “stoptourist” destinations and attracts thousands of visitors both from home and abroad. Since that day was a sunny day, the river was shrouded with mist, the hills look more graceful when covered with such a fine gauze. The eye-feasting landscape and country scenery will never make you disappointed.

The last stop is an otherworldly sort of place. Fronting water and with a hill at the back, this garden had a dense growth of evergreen trees.  

Happy time always comes and goes in a hurry, but it is the most expectant. The three-day journey has finally come to an end. Travel with workmates is not only a process of physical and mental pleasure, but also a process of gathering people’s heart and helping each other.
